Asansol, November 24.2020: ER RPF of Asansol Division in its efforts to provide all out security to the passengers has made commendable works to extend guidance & assistance to the Rail users. They also render help to the passengers in distress as well as remain vigil to stop crime.
A raid was conducted today ( 24.11.2020) against touting activities by officer and staff of RPF post Durgapur of Asansol Division. In course of raid and search operation at Travel Ghanti, William Kerry Road, B zone, Durgapur, one person present in above shop being interrogated, he confessed that he prepared Railway reservation E-tickets through personal user IDs for his customers in liu of some extra money. Apart from this, he has an IRCTC authorized agent ID. During search in said shop, total 81 printout of used and future E-tickets were produced by him, Value of tickets seized- Future journey- Rs.45356/- & Past journey- Rs 86104/-, total valued Rs. 130460/- . Accordingly, all recovered print out with CPU etc were seized from above shop and the above person was arrested for illegally carrying on of business of procuring and supplying of Railway E-Tickets.
